Clear Aligner

Bring Out Your Best Smile with Clear Aligner Orthodontics

If you’re looking for a straighter, healthier smile but don’t want to bother with traditional orthodontics like unattractive metal braces, we have the perfect solution! At Arsmiles Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Sima F. Chegini and her brilliant team in Fairlawn, Ohio, can help you drastically improve your smile using the latest comfortable, clear aligners.

How does Clear Aligner orthodontics compare to braces?

Clear aligners are advantageous to metal braces in different ways. First, they are made of a soft, clear bio-compatible plastic material that won’t be noticed in your mouth. The same can’t be said of metal braces because no one knows that you are wearing clear aligners whereas the braces are so obvious and many adults prefer to not wear braces again. Therefore Clear braces are almost invisible to the naked eye, whereas conventional braces jump right out and become the main focus of anyone’s attention.

Both clear aligners and metal braces correct misaligned teeth using the same orthodontic technique. They both gradually shift teeth using subtle pressure. However, with metal braces, you must visit a dentist several times throughout treatment to receive manual adjustments. But, with clear aligners, you have a custom set of aligner trays molded to fit your teeth perfectly. All you have to do is change your trays every two weeks until your treatment is complete!

You must wear metal braces throughout the entire treatment period, but with clear braces, you just have to wear them 22 hours a day, and you can take them out at any time to eat or brush your teeth.

What Can Clear aligners Correct?

Dental issues such as rotated and overcrowded teeth, crossbites, overbites, overjets, gaps, and spaces between teeth can be corrected using clear aligner treatment. These devices can also reduce the risk of gum disease and tooth decay since you can remove your trays while flossing and brushing, allowing you to maintain excellent oral hygiene home care.
